Dental Cleaning Discounts through April 30th

finke.dentalFebruary was National Pet Dental Health Month, and The Village Vets extends the dental awareness campaign through the end of April!  Through the end of April, we are offering 20% discounts on dental cleanings and products. We are also taking this opportunity to educate our clients on advancements in veterinary dental care, such as dental radiography.  Dr. Melissa Finke, who was instrumental in the acquisition of our dental x-ray unit, is passionate about dental care and education.

The Recovery of Red

We are excited to share that one of our clients was recently reunited with her beloved companion, Red, who was recovered after being lost for over two weeks. Red, a 12 year old terrier mix, was separated from his home on New Year's day. Suffering from diabetes, it was imperative that he get home as soon as possible.

Pet First Aid and CPR courses are being offered at our Decatur location by Megan Hise and Matters of the Heart CPR...and  sponsored by The Village Vets of Decatur and Animal Emergency Center of Decatur.  Properly applied first aid can save your pet's life, reduce recovery time, and be the difference between temporary or lifelong disability.  This program concentrates on basic first aide care.  Learn more and sign up for courses.

Canine Influenza Virus

Dr. Miller of the Village VetsWe have received a large number of emails and phone calls lately regarding Canine Influenza - so we know it's on a lot of your minds. Therefore, our very own Dr. Matt Miller wanted to:

  1. make sure all of you know the important information about Canine Influenza.
  2. distinguish between the real facts and some of the recent hype (a lot of information that you are receiving right now has been generated by the vaccine companies).
  3. make sure all of you know our position.
